The firm was founded in 1983 by Russell L. Wilkinson, CPA, and has shown steady growth since that time. In 1994, Pamela Brown Wilkinson, LTC, joined the firm and later became a shareholder. Other team members include Ronald W. Hylton, Administrative Manager, and Staff Accountants Amanda Cooley and Renée Wilkinson.

Ronald W. Hylton, Administrative Manager
Russell L. Wilkinson, CPA, graduated from University of Washington in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree. His CPA license was granted in 1972 and he spent the next nine years working both in public accounting and private industry. Four years were spent working in a large CPA firm – Moss Adams & Company. Two of his positions in private industry were at large companies – King’s Table, Inc. and Payless Northwest, Inc. He served as controller in those two positions and supervised large accounting departments.
In 1983, Russ started his own CPA business on his dining room table at home. The first year he went door-to-door, meeting small business owners and asking for their business. Most of those initial clients are still customers of the firm.
Since 1983, the firm has quadrupled in size, largely due to Russ’ desire to serve both businesses and individuals with a variety of services. Many of the new customers to the firm had heard about him from satisfied clients and through Russ’ involvement with the community.
Russ has served as Treasurer of both the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and Community Action Organization. He was a founding member of the Hillsboro Sunrise Rotary Club. He has been honored several times for his hard work and commitment to these and other organizations, earning the Chamber Executive Award in 1994, the Emma C. McKinney Distinguished Citizen Award in 1996, and the Community Spirit Award for Outstanding Business Leader in 1999. You may contact Russ at: russ@wilkinsoninc.com
Pamela Brown Wilkinson, LTC, joined the firm in 1994 and became a shareholder in 2000. Since beginning work at Wilkinson & Associates, Pam has earned her License as a Tax Preparer (1995) and then became a Licensed Tax Consultant in 1998.
Pam received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of New Mexico in 1971, and has enjoyed a variety of professional positions in public, private and non-profit organizations. Post-graduate work includes courses in Business Administration, Accounting and Marketing. Her experiences and education prepared her to head up the firm’s sales, marketing, public relations and training activities.
Like Russ, Pam has been active in the community, serving in leadership roles in Soroptimist International of Hillsboro, Hillsboro Actors Repertory Theater and LeTip of Hillsboro.
